Both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams defeated Lumen Christi last night in a battle of league title contenders. The girls’ won 26-29 and the boys won 22-33. Leading the Bulldogs in the girls race was Meg Darmofal (overall winner) with a time of 18:35. Trudie Mulville was second overall for the Bulldogs with a time of 18:39. Caitlin Rebera was the next Bulldog runner with a time of 21:08 and placing 5th overall. Libbey Jones (21:24) took 8th and Callie Jones (22:03) took 10th overall. Alexis Lyons (22:08) and Leah Sinnaeve (22:19) rounded out the top seven for the Bulldogs.
The boys’ cross country team was led by overall race winner Mason VanDyke with a time of 16:41. Paul Pioszak took second overall for the Bulldogs with a time of 16:42. Greg Ingle (17:10), Ben Geer (17:46), and Jacob Hanson (17:52) were 4th, 7th, and 8th respectively. Jonah Horton (18:32) and Christian Thornton (19:07) rounded out the top seven for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs run next Tuesday, September 24, at Parma Western.
