Compete for a Cause is so excited to share our upcoming events for September with the Mason Community. We will be kicking off our week of events on September 9, 2017 with our 5K Fun Walk/Run at Mason High School. Participants can find the information to sign up via our website at competeforacause.org. Your race bib will allow you free entrance to the Mason High School Soccer Games on September 9th as well as the Volleyball Tournament. The swim team also has a home meet that day with various events supporting Compete for a Cause and our other sports teams will proudly be supporting our efforts to raise funds to assist local children battling cancer as well as to support ongoing research to fight Childhood Cancer throughout the week.
September is National Childhood Cancer awareness month and Gold is the color ribbon which represents the fight against Childhood Cancer.
Our week will conclude with our Annual Compete For a Cause Soccer Event on September 16, 2017 at Okemos High School. The day will be filled with many events including a Silent Auction which starts at 2:00 pm as well as soccer matches between Lansing Catholic High School and Lansing Christian High School as well as Mason High School and Okemos High School. Williamston High School will also be hosting games between Haslett High School and Williamston. Our week of events will conclude with the Varsity Match between Mason High School and Okemos High School kicking off at 7:30 pm on September 16th at Okemos High School.
